The news is on, basically opening with "we are going to get to the school shooting soon, but first let's open with the most recent police shooting"
I am an orthodox Groucho Marxist, and that's why I get "Lydia, the Tattooed Lady" stuck in my head every time I read one of @Lydia 's megathreads.
"You can learn a lot from Lydiaaaaaa!"
should have screamed the internationale at him while stabbing a hair doll of bill gates
"The ultimate, hidden truth of the world is that it is something that we make, and could just as easily make differently." :bloomer:
Idk how anyone can have optimism about the world. Maybe I should read some of his work and see if I can find some of my own
My partner, my best friend, my lover might have lupus or something funky auto-immune. They dont know, apparently this kind of thing is very hard to diagnose but the docs are roping in just about every specialist you could think of. Bills or insurance isnt a problem, I live in Canada.
Any comrades that have something like it with tips for managing symptoms or flare ups if my partner has it?
Could also be fibromyalgia. They're two diseases you get diagnosed with if they can't figure anything else out. I don't know much about lupus, but if it functions similarly to fibro and I'm pretty sure it does, then one of the best things you can do is manage the inflammation in your body via diet. Food intolerances, stress, or anything else that triggers inflammation will likely also trigger a flare up. For my wife any time she eats gluten she's out of commission for at least a day if not more
I'm excited to announce the beginning of a new bit. Starting approximately whenever I feel like it, and continuing at intervals of whenever I feel like it, until such a time as I get bored or forget the account password, @BusinessOwner will be chiming in to share the valuable perspective of the most marginalized group of all: corporate executives.
can't wait for live music to become a thing again, i want to listen to good music while developing a hopeless crush on one of the band members over the course of their set

Mood, and it's not my fault that sometimes there are lady drummers 😔✌️
Humans keep other humans in cages with bars and no privacy for their toilet.
And ~95% of people think this is acceptable.
I only enjoy naps when it's sunny outside. There's something almost erotic about sleeping when the world itself conspires to keep you awake.
the bay turns to canvas / in the morning stillness / the sky paints away
@thethirdgracchi is right, a mid-day nap feels really good. I don't know what it is about it but I just sleep so well doing that.
All sun does to me is make me turn red like a lobster so I always wear sunscreen, even when I'm just inside.
same lol i have two stages: lily white and burned. as soon as my skin recovers from being burned it returns to pale white, I've never really been able to tan
That's how I feel when it's cold and dry and I take a deep breath - just vibrant and invigorated
"NYSE launches ‘First Trade’ NFTs of Spotify, Snowflake and more"
:xi-plz:
What does this even mean? An NFT of an image of the Spotify logo? The desktop app in its current version?
I think we'll see the "by mistake" defense a lot in the next couple years.
On CNN I just heard that the cop that killed Daunte Wright said she fired her gun "by mistake" and she meant to use her taser.
Got a batman utility belt with a million different things on it and my dumb ass can't find the taser from the handgun. Fine police work.
Maybe the murder pigs will also say they "forgot" what their dominate hand is.
CNN also said that for those cops - their gun is on the side of their dominate hand and their taster on their weak side. I assume that's a norm in police departments all across the country.
"oopsie my bad i meant to use my stunny gunny" says officer of 25 years who is well aware tasers are on their opposite side and feel completely different in hand after aiming at him for nearly three seconds before shooting him in the back.
Get ready to hear, once again, how the police are the best and the bravest, but simultaneously how this was just an oopsie that anyone could have made and you can't blame her for being an incompetent coward.
