unlikely to be illegal, the razor blades thing is an old fash trick but I haven't heard any cases of it happening with these yet? Better yet make a "murdered palestinian children poster" and slap it up over these, much less likely to become someones stupid photo op

Yes, when you take these down, they will use this as ammunition to legitimize their deranged claims of antisemitism, etc about people who are opposed to genocide.

Even if they don't see you doing it, they will make videos about how they posted a sign and then it was removed. They don't need to catch you to pretend that they are martyrs.

I'd rather not take the risk of giving them a viral photo op, not a lot of people are gonna read that paper anyway.

Not sure. My first instinct is also to take them down, but I figure videos and pictures that can be used as much more damaging and lasting forms of propaganda are something I shouldn't give them the opportunity to gather from me.

It's fucking dumb, but it's the game that's played and its successfully used to demonize leftists.

Someone likely has a camera pointed at the poster.

        a photo op/opportunity

That opposition to the zionist entity is being misdirected toward ostensibly 'peaceful' claims of releasing prisoners should be noted. Shout and tear down islamophobic propaganda yes, but all you're doing here is pulling down posters of kidnapped kids, which is exactly what the posters are designed to do.

Remove them after dark and using a tool like a knife to do the first few steps.

It's generally legal so long as it isn't private property.

PS legality is for dweebs so if someone you know is thinking of removing signs from private property, tell them that cool kids wear black bloc-ish clothes when doing so and do it after dark and when people aren't around.

A school by me put up a ton of chairs, I guess however many captives, with signs to "Bring them back!" in the big shared green space

But yeah, pro Palestine protests are effectively banned. Freeze peach and all that

In my locality, those would be illegally posted signs so I would just take them down. Check your local laws ig

Because cops in this country can murder you in your own home and get away with it, arresting you for no reaspn is literally trivial to them.

doesn't matter, they're duct taped to a tree they're gonna fall off 2 seconds into the next rainstorm.

It is most likely legal to remove since they are attached to trees in the strip of land (apparently called a "road verge"?) that is public property. Where I live, the property line extends to the sidewalk and everything beyond that belongs to the city and the homeowner gets an easement in exchange for maintaining it. So campaign signs can legally be removed from medians and road verges, but not off private property.

They could have stayed home instead of moving to a genocidal fascist state. No sympathy :)

I was wondering why there was a spike in "piece of shit tries to rip down missing person poster" in all the right wing shithole subreddits.

The fact that it was just propoganda to stir up sympathy for a genocide instead of actual missing person poster makes entirely too much sense.

Also if you're worried about razor blades just set it on fire

Booby traps are illegal, so removing it definitely isn't. You're not even allowed to booby trap your own private property. If someone gets hurt from a booby trap the victim hold the responsibly party liable for their damages and injuries. Not to mention the environmental hazard, razor blades to hurt people, pets, and animals. Special kind of scum to force people and animals to have to deal with razorblades in their local parks when inevitably weather disintegrates them and the posters are never retrieved.
