I think after the polling came out that Biden lost the Muslim vote, and to them that automatically means Muslims support Trump for some reason, it’s definitely their subconscious desire.

They don’t like Trump, but they still want minorities who are disillusioned to ‘get what they voted for’ for not choosing Biden.

American Muslims used to be one of the most solidly Republican voting demographics. I'm not sure of the exact reason why.

But that entirely flipped after 9/11 and now the Democrats can't help themselves either with how much they hate Palestinians.

American Cold War policies towards the ME was pushing for Islamist theocracies as a bulwark against evil Bolshevik atheism. So nominally, the US had to be friendly towards Arabs, though Israel was constantly throwing a wrench in those plans.

Perhaps these nominally friendly relationships resulted in American Muslims being pro republican? I know that Carter, a democrat, started the Middle East policies, but I don’t remember if it was known publicly during his time.

It’s also possible that it’s more general. Conservatives took a hard line stance against anything left of their hand, which means they were constantly portraying democrats as godless hippies who wanted to destroy the family and god.

Democrat voting liberals have a sense of entitlement toward minorities, they believe that because the Democrats (pretend to) care about minorities, not only do the Democrats deserve the votes of minorities but are entitled to them. They wont admit it, mostly because they aren't self-aware of it, it's mostly subconscious as you said, but it's definitely there and as the Democrats slowly drop the mask it become more apparent.

Right now they say stuff one step removed from "How DARE you not vote for the democrats you filthy minority, you should be thankful our grand and generous party even pay attention to you, you lowly minority should know your place and continue to vote for them already, you are nothing without the Democrats. If you refuse, then you deserve whatever the Republicans will do to you!"

When Biden loses they will say stuff one step removed from "So? How do you like what Trump is doing? I hope you learned your lesson and will vote Democrat next time. Your vote belong to the Democrats and saying otherwise make you a filth worthy of deportation."

I can already imagine clueless spineless libs dunking on minorities, saying that whatever will happen in the next Republican term is their fault because they dared be disillusioned by the unfulfilled promises and criminal actions of Biden and decided against voting blue.

Remember all the smugness about how people in red states "had [bad thing] coming"? You think they wouldn't treat Muslims the same way?

This fucking shit, what even is democracy then?

Vote for our guy, or you will die! He would rather watch you be deported or killed than cede a single fucking inch on anything that matters to you, but if you don't fully surrender your political voice to him an even worse guy will come and punish you, and you'll deserve it. If you try to hold our guy to account in any way, even just rhetorically, you're a traitor.

      maybe-later-honey speech-l

How is this different in any way to liberals' wild fantasies of the "authoritarian totalitarian communist dictatorship"? They'll never explain because they're physically incapable of processing this framing.

I’m in a weird mood where I’m feeling weirdly empathetic to the post left guy. Like, clips from CTH will genuinely sound absurd to libs. Part of being a lib is a deep deep brainwashing that left of liberal isn’t a real political stance. And with that, it’s absurd to think they have racist/islamophobic issues to deal with within THEIR party. I hope this guy can become post post left (aka, left)

Part of being a liberal is believing there's only two sides to humanity: the nice liberal side and this uncompromising, undefeatable vague blob of bad stuff that will always exist. You can't reason with it, at best you can force it to hold exactly half the power. Leftists don't make sense to them because we can sound simultaneously like liberals and adherents of the evil blob, sometimes in the same sentence.

I don't know how to handle anti-left liberals anymore. I wish they would just be more honest and say they want imperialist bourgeois power structures in power, but they never phrase it like that unless they're a self-identified neoliberal. And those people are too much of cranks to bother with.

they don't know what the terms imperialist, bourgeois, or power structures mean so it's kind of an uphill climb.

I've never heard of Post-Left Watch but I gathered from their Twitter that they aren't being ironic.

Are they just libs who think they're Leftists or Right-wingers?

Afaik this is the brand of particularly obnoxious liberals who once had a empathetic thought, decided it was bad and wrong, and then go and write everywhere "i was once far left, but then i got defeated by the factsTM and logicTM and now i'm slightly right of Churchill".

Moralists don't really have beliefs. Sometimes they stumble on one, like on a child's toy left on the carpet. The toy must be put away immediately. And the child reprimanded. Centrism isn't change -- not even incremental change. It is control. Over yourself and the world. Exercise it. Look up at the sky, at the dark shapes of Coalition airships hanging there. Ask yourself: is there something sinister in moralism? And then answer: no. God is in his heaven. Everything is normal on Earth.

Fun fact, on Linux using alt-graph you can get alternative symbols FROM EVERY KEY ON THE KEYBOARD. For example on the polish keyboard using alt-graph + shift + H you get •

Now I don't remember whether it was under T, but somewhere you should be able to get ™.

Also by using alt-graph with and without shift on ~ and 6 you should get logical math symbols. Useful for plaintext math notation.

Usually I don't remember where what is so I just go ham on the keyboard.

I wouldn't encourage anyone to use Windows but if you do then there's a handy little utility app called WinCompose which does this same function.

Virtually every symbol you could imagine comes intuitively and it's customisable if you can copy-paste extremely simple code to make your own command keys for typing a particular symbol, such as where a command isn't intuitive or you need very obscure symbols like a zero-width space.

Sometimes you fat finger while typing and instead of a ł you get some other random character. That's how I found this feature and then I've tried like every key.

The "Post left" is a whole thing. This person has gotten obsessed with the word and has misapplied the label to everyone they don't like. They genuinely appear to think they're on the left and exposing people.
