Aside from the China Bad angle, the trend of drawing children's media as super fucked up (because lol so irreverent, I guess) bothers me. It showcases either a reality where a lot of us did not have protection from adult neurosis/stress in childhood or a lack of respect for trying to give that to current children. Probably both.
