I moved about halfway across the country for work, but training got canceled this week do to weather. I'm currently living in a (very weird) airbnb in the middle of nowhere with nothing to do and would like some more podcasts to listen to. Currently I am a big fan of Trillbilly Worker's Party and I grudgingly listen to Chapo but a lot of their casual sexism is pretty off-putting.
Chapo Trap House is an American political podcast founded in March 2016 and hosted by Will Menaker, Matt Christman, Felix Biederman, Amber A'Lee Frost, and Virgil Texas.
The Dollop - Lots of good eps about crazy shit in American history. Can have morning zoo energy sometimes, especially early episodes. But it's good for a mix of comedy and learning how fucked America is.
Behind the Bastards - Lots of right-wing watch type content. Covers some of the same things The Dollop does but less comedy and more in-depth.
It Can Happen Here - By the same guy who does Behind the Bastards. Came out a couple years ago and it's about how a second American civil war could happen. Now it's happening.
Worst Year Ever - Originally meant to be about the 2020 election but now it's more about current events and some organizing advice.
TrueAnon - You might not like it since they're close to Chapo's style of humor. But it's about Epstein and how a lot of American business and government is related to it.
Economic Update with Richard Wolf - Standard Marxist theory but summarized and explain how it relates to today's world. By a Marxist professor of economics. Not a lot of eps and it's pretty short so you could finish by Monday.
Knowledge Fight - A complete and utter (critical) study in Alex Jones and American conspiracy culture. You will learn more about AJ than you ever wanted to know, but see how it relates to what's becoming mainstream conspiracy culture. I wouldn't listen to this in the order episodes are released, I suggest listening to it by the order of the episodes of InfoWars they cover. In other words, start with the earliest Infowars dates rather than the Knowledge Fight episode dates. If you listen in this order, Alex Jones makes complete sense and you will be able to debunk his bullshit pretty easily.
West Wing Thing - "Why Democrats are bad" the podcast but through the lens of criticizing The West Wing.

ALAB: Podcast about how all lawyers are bastards. They don't release new episodes very often but its always very entertaining and informative.
5-4 is a similar podcast but it focuses more on the supreme court.
West Wing Thing is always fun, but they sometimes bring on some more centrist types which can be kind of grating if you're not really in the mood for it.
True Anon is great, but a lot of their episodes can be really heavy.
Have you found any episodes of 5-4 or similar dismantling the hero-worship of Ruth Bader Ginsberg? I read about opposition to her nomination by feminist groups as an aside somewhere but haven't looked into it. I've been a bit irritated recently since my family sort of lionizes her and a more nuanced perspective would be nice.
I haven't listened to too many episodes of it, but it takes a more systemic look at how fucked the court is. It points out how the court's previous decisions paint a picture of a corrupt and ineffective institution.
Try 'srsly wrong'. Start with the library socialism episodes. The hosts are super earnest and wonderful and they break into really great skits to illustrate points throughout. My fav pod by far.

Last Podcast on the Left and My Favorite Murder are both really good and I can't recommend them enough. For LPOTL, get ready for some bad shit in the first 100 or so episodes, but it gets a lot better as time goes on. MFM is good from the jump.

They're anarchists, but there's nothing in there that any kind of leftist would object to. It's the most entertaining podcast that I listen to.
