Eh, sometimes you get lucky. In german lib-nerd spaces there's a widely circulated textbook paragraph of a man called WIlhelm Blumberg who got a fine in Nazi Germany for exclaiming, towards a swastika flag, "What kind of c-word-rag is this?" before throwing it on the ground and adding "I will shit on this!"

Which on all accounts sounds like some made up internet bullshit but a german redditor actually went through the trouble of combing the archives and it turned out to be totally real. Sometimes people are just based as fuck (I think we can forgive the guy the c-word here, it's not a direct translation anyhow)

And of course the lib takeaways are either: 'we have to go further right' or 'if they'll support Trump they're a lost cause '.

No chance of seeing this as a failure on the part of Biden, the Democratic party or US electoralism.

The Democrats can't fail, they can only be failed.

You're forgetting the third option: "by criticizing Biden and the democrats, the left is actually pushing people to Trump. So it's our fault"

The lib takeaway is: "good riddance, we finally dumped the filthy poors so we can be the party of suburban wine moms YAAAAASSSS QUEEEEEEN!!!!!!!"

Completely unforced error for Biden to ask Congress to make them accept the deal with nothing to improvement.

Completely unforced error by Biden, by Schumer, by AOC, by fucking Sanders...

I remember when AOC whipped up a crowd that actively door-knocked the fucking halls of Congress over the GND. Probably the peak of her career when she put the fear of God in Pelosi and the rest. Then they yanked her collar and its been shit ever since.

At least Sanders voted against the strike-breaking bill. That's the one point of solace here

Knowing her, probably threats to get her off a committee she was on or a promise to have a bigger role in one. They also used methods like having a neoliberal Puerto Rican woman as some sort of mentor for her. AOC is big into identity politics so I could see that actually working.
