Nate Silver's brain is the core product

how did this goofus misunderstand this so badly? The "core product" was hard statistical analysis. That is what made 538 relevant. Once it got bought and Nate Silver let a bunch of haircuts blow smoke up his ass, he dropped the "just the numbers" attitude and started doing punditry, immediately negating any value he offered and making his predictions completely worthless and no different from any other guy in a suit on MSNBC or CNN. There's no core product left, just a subpar pundit who lacks charisma and those are a dime a dozen.

neoliberals are a truly cursed lot, they'd be lucky if we put them out on philosopher ships

Wait, is the Silver Legion emoji/bit account not about the pre-WW2 era Silver Legion christian fascist militia? The one whose members heavily joined the (fascist occultist/christian-theosophical) I AM Activity?

EDIT: I really thought we were making fun of 100 year old American Christian New Age Nazis.

I remember the bit account but IIRC they were more GOP/far right lib than brunch lib? Which is why I was always so sure they were referencing the Silver Shirts.

The bit account, which is why I didn't think it had to do with 538, and I just kinda assumed that the emoji was a joke about the bit account as I don't know what the guy's face looks like.

Honestly might have been me, I went down a rabbit hole and was 100% obsessed with these people like a year ago and ranted about extensively in at least one Hexbear thread. It's crazy how much they've influenced modern new age thought.

In the same way that A.B. Normal's brain was the core product of the monster in Young Frankenstein.

TBF, it's not the most unflattering pic I've seen of him, and I probably wouldn't even place this one in top 5.
