That's the question I immediately wanted to ask him. Like you can plainly watch rocket launches either with onboard videos or in person. Most don't explode and you can track it multiple ways until it reaches space. Then you can plainly see the satellites it launches or the space station it services. What are those doing and why didn't the Challenger do that if the same vehicle can repeatedly do it?

This part is at least based on hearing someone describe reality. The relative sizes and distances of the sun and the moon make them have surprisingly close apparent sizes, and we live close to the end of the period of time where total solar eclipses are possible because of that. I'm guessing that's not what he means by that though.
