As I said in another comment, they're so criminally uncool. This would've been passable in 2008, not 2023.
I don't think this would have flown in 2008. It didn't even work in like, 1998, when his shitty "internet bank" x.com or whatever got bought by paypal and they immediately ditched the branding and dumped all the trash code because none of it had any value and the only reason it got bought by PayPal was to consolidate the "internet bank" competition into themselves.
