Agree, but there's people waving massive Trump flags on the intersection corner every day- these people won't give up power lightly. I just wish I was better prepared, but now the time has finally come and I don't even know how to defend myself, recently moved and started a family, and have no real community support, it feels like we are all just wishfully thinking this won't escalate and I feel really underprepared and almost like we are all walking into a trap.
Some flashlights can be used as blunt weapons. In fact many have features to make them a more effective weapon. And the kind that has all that shit will probably set a piece of paper on fire if laid next to it while it's on with all the candlepower those things have.

Honestly, for the average person; Just stay at home, keep your head down, don't draw attention to yourself. Reach out to your local lefty orgs if you can and ask about check in or community defense groups.

Bear mace. Shoots a 30' cone. Lots of collateral damage, but also a large deterrent if seen.
Police baton. Not legal in 50 states. Extremely intimidating. Hopefully you're bluffing. But, learn to strike with it properly.
