I've always wondered tho if his dad was in the Friends of New Germany or German American Bund, they were very active in NYC, tens of thousands attended Nazi rallies there in the 30s and sent their kids to Nazi summer camps.

I've never heard of her until like last week and then I started hearing about her a lot. People kept associating her with breadtube when everything I've seen her say was basically pure shitlib

If this was said by Matt in a cushvlog you'd go on about how it was profound you hogs.

We get it, she is a lib, but I don't understand why we have to have a top post about it every single day.

I'd be surprised if Matt said something this dumb.

Is trump ad an individual rude and clownish because of his upbringing? Sure, seems plausible. Wouldn't be surprised if Matt said that

Is that the whole reason this happened? No. The factors that led to him taking power are numerous, there are material conditions in the United States leading up to his election which allows him to win.

If you trust material analysis, you wouldnt think trump is just a big sad boy, but that his actions and the actions of those around him are dictated by his wealth and social class.

Those are the same things, the basic building block of fascism is the patriarchal "family unit" (lol libs going mask off as soulless drones)

Not just his wealth and social class, but also the material conditions that existed in the united states and around the world which lead to him being successfully elected

That's so vague though. What would be more useful would be if you explained how Trump's action to run for president was dictated by his wealth and social class in a way that doesn't match others of his environment.

Actually I'll be honest, I don't have any proof, but I don't even think that's what things are like irl. I think it's more likely to be that political movements in the classical sense have constituencies they respond to and when you get to a mass level where people's individual idiosyncrasies get squashed by statistics, what you have is the statistical beliefs of groups that have an incentive to convince themselves that what's good for themselves is what's good for everyone, and these people tend to associate with each other, right? But individual people can have all sorts of motivations for doing whatever because their actions aren't constrained the way political actions are. AFAIK, Lenin, Trotsky, Engels were all from a bourgeois class background.

ok yes ofc not everything is purely materialistic, otherwise it would be class war 24/7. im just trying to say that libs like in picture above view reality as completely unattached to real motivations and that your thougths arent connected and mainly guided by your possesions, like it's all a big stage play. trump did it cos he is evil and wicked and his papa beat him, but mostly cos he really likes money and power, and promised republicans money and power.

I mean she’s right though, that’s why Trump exists and is president. Someone similar to Trump may have been inevitable but it wouldn’t have happened yet and would’ve happened differently.

Zizek made the point when Berlusconi became president in Italy that this was the new authoritarianism

The clown attending bunga bunga parties making everyone laugh but beneath this veil the authoritarianism

Even if Trump had died at birth the collective masses and bourgeois class wouldve sought a new authoritarian clown to put into presidency

        Well put.

When I said it's what happens when you dont have material analysis, this is the kind of thought I was getting at.

It's like someone who decided they want to know why the holocaust happens and they just study the youth and upbringing of Hitler. Not realizing that Nazism could have come to power without him.

We have to study the conditions which existed in Germany which allowed him to came to power and do what he did, hitler as an individual might have an interest biography but that's no why the holocaust happened

I mean, wouldn’t a thorough analysis take into account the psychological impacts of being raised by wealthy psychopaths? Yeah, her take is a take, it reduces a whole web of interconnected structures and...other thingies, to a single cause. But, not all asshole rapist millionaires run for president. I think understanding why trump did run should include the impact of his ideological indoctrination.

Sure, but it's not done to this single man. If it wasn't Trump or Hitler it would have been someone else because these systems create Trumps and Hitlers and people don't support them out of thin air.
