Democrats lost seats in the House, lost a ton of Senate races by double digits, and had poor results at the state level, too. That's awful in a pandemic, with a shitty economy, and with more anti-incumbent sentiment than we've seen in at least a century.
The mythical moderate voter voted against Trump, but didn't vote for down ballot Democrats. That's what happens when you run on no policies and appeal to people who don't like your party.
Well, some people will tell you (and maybe they're right) chuds are more reachable than libs. Might as well have a case study if the worst he's doing is "it's just a flu!"
Taking the pandemic seriously isn't a cliche capitalist mode of thinking. They want people to just go back to work and risk dying. BLM is not an op, these are both bad takes and you don't know wtf you're talking about.
Then you need to get offline and do more outreach. I talk to people in person every day that I can tell I have pushed left. Of course they won't be moved in our direction without our help. And on the BLM point, this is where our responsibility comes in as well to articulate why this means we need to defund police and create alternatives. You're the only one dooming here dude. Go outside.
It doesn't. Defunding the police didn't hurt Dems, running garbage candidates like Amy McGrath did. Progressives overwhelmingly won on platforms like defunding police or kept their seats. You're either some dumbass neolib troll or just eating up lib propaganda.
It's the job of the politician to get people to care about stuff though. What even is your point? That politicians should only chase what the average person cares about? And what they care about is determined by who they vote for? If they only vote for what they know and only know what they vote for, how is any ground gained? The average person didn't care about civil rights either. Or gay marriage. If we went by what people voted for and only cared about that, those things would have never went anywhere. How are you a Leninist, someone who supposedly believes in a thing most people think is a dictatorship that forces people to get sex changes, and arguing this way?
Plus, it's not all about winning Kentucky. It's about not dumping $100M into a race that you know you're going to lose AND not gaining any ground there anyways. Someone losing by a slimmer margin while only spending $10M would have been better.
Wait, you just said the moderates are the ones who got Biden in.
The fact that Susan Collins outperformed Trump by double digits should be proof to people that the mythical moderate voter is in fact the reason Biden won.
So why would there need to be a media conspiracy to get progressives on board? You're contradicting yourself. If the moderates are what did it, and they outnumber progressives, and they matter more than progressives, then why would the media need to do anything? Why would they work for months to hype up covid and BLM just to get voters they never needed because things weren't actually bad? And who are these progressive-whisperers in the media? Can you give specific names?
Tell me Leninist. Explain it too me. Use your masterful dialectics.
Susan Collins is popular because she's been around for decades and has deep connections with community leaders of all stripes across the state. 99 percent of keeping your job as a politician is doing the above, it has nothing to do with ideology.
The only popular incumbents are either in districts like pelosi's full of brunch libs or are actual progressives. The only people that lost seats this election were centrists.
People do. People are not just democrats or republicans. You're leaving out two thirds of the population by limiting everything to registered members of two bourgeois parties.
I don't entirely agree with that, but I don't disagree with it either. In North Carolina, Iowa, and Georgia somewhat too, the incumbents weren't especially popular in the same way that Collins is.
Running to the middle won't really help these folks, but running left isn't necessarily going to help them either. What they need to do is generate excitement and running to the left is a sure-fire way to generate said excitement.

Lol lowering expectations doesn't make your campaigning any less shitty. If you can't pick up seats in this environment you ate shit, full stop.

:che-laugh: lmao a literal pandemic and easily the most significant protests we've seen since the Vietnam War are media manipulation?
Great bit, keep going

1500 now, 2000 next week. Exponential growth folks, it's not good
Ban this fool lol
He's not disruptive enough to ban. Just dump on his terrible takes and maybe he'll learn something.
Some of these takes are literally right wing talking points lol. Also the name (with that in mind) makes me worry that it's an anti-semitic thing.

I cross posted to dunk tank, so the calvary is incoming

A Fox poll last week had 72% of respondant answer in favor of "changing to governement run health care", which is a negative framing they use because "medicare for all" sounds to good and gets more people to agree with it.

ok sure, keep supporting their bid to be more like republicans, it works so well
