How would you make a business of it?

I have often thoigh fondly of having a printer that actually worked and was useful but I have given up on it long ago.

Laser printers are great for printing lots of text. The toner lasts a long time and doesn't dry out like ink. It's actually a very fine plastic dust that is melted by the laser and adhered to the paper. That said, it usually only does black and white and can't print pictures well.

How familiar are you with print? What could you offer vs a print shop? Do you mean printing regular letter sized prints or things that are more customized? Who's your target audience?

I use print shops pretty often, they are very expensive because a print can take a long time. The machines break down a lot and need a lot of maintenance. When you're busy printing one job that machine can't be used until it's done. For example, I recently had an 80-page-long booklet printed four times, it took a long ass time. All that time you can't service another customer unless you have multiple machines. Often when people come to a shop they have printing jobs that they can't do at home and many need things at very short notice. I don't think it's an easy market.
