Ive started playing darts and board games, mostly just solo board games though. I put together a lower receiver for my rifle today. Hobbies help keep us balanced i think.
I have this game I play every morning called suicide ideation and by the sleepy time I find out who won. I haven’t lost yet.
Counseling helps, so does my saxophone, but I wish I could stop playing it.

No vacation, philosophy, or new drug could fix my lifelong depression, and I realized I didn’t know what love actually felt like, so I decided to accept it, and gradually started pushing through physical, mental and legal boundaries. I’ve also taken up kayaking, and have learned how to make great cocktails.

there's so many and i think im learning what i like(i think i hate dice rolling games). I played Bottom of the 9th for a bit but the randomness of dice turned me off. I've been playing Viticulture alot, probably going to start doing the campaign mode since i figured out the normal solo. I just bought Gaia Project recently and will get into that too, it seems deep as fuck.
Viticulture is dope. You should check out GMT for some solo-only historical games if that's your jam. Can highly recommend Comancheria (you get to kill Americans, Texans, and Spaniards) and Peloponnesian War, both of which were designed with solo play in mind. The COIN series also plays wonderfully solo, and in the newest entry you can play as the communists of the Finnish Civil War. Also fun to play as the Algerians in their revolution against France.
do most of those kinds of games usually have dice rolling?i should maybe try another dice game but somehow i feel like i can handle getting fucked over by a bad card draw than a bad die roll.
So all of the game use dice to some extent, or have dice like mechanics, but don't rely heavily on them at all. Of all of them the COIN series is the least "random" in that there's almost no randomness other than events (it's card driven) and everything is "open" so you can predict what other people will do. Very satisfying when you win.
EDIT: Also Viticulture is the chillest game because even if you "lose" you're still a well off vineyard owner in Tuscany just chilling.

I don't have anywhere to put feeders, but I do try to get out to the woods. Also just downloaded the Merlin ID app and it is pretty great for identification
Cool. It’s been fun to try to identify the different birds who aren’t as active in the summer but hungry as fuck now lol. I have a house that backs up to a wooded area and they are eating me out of house and home
