Voted PSL, live without regret. Trusting liberals in any capacity is handing the axe to your executioner. As cowardly as they are sociopathic.

I voted Howie and I do feel a little twinge of regret because I could have voted for La Riva, but oh well at least I didn't vote for a rapist.

I was considering voting for Howie to get the Greens to the 5% of the vote threshold. They've got the same problem UK Labour has though. Howie's milquetoast socialist wing is stuck warring internally with the liberal wing of the party. Because they won't purge their right flank, whatever momentum he builds as the only green worth voting for will be ratfucked by half his party.

Looks like they got 0.3% of the vote in the end. oof.

I'm sorry but if you consider yourself a "leftist" and you still voted for Joe Biden you are a sucker

Nah for "the left" I think Biden being in there is better

Way back in like Episode 16 of the pod Matt called a shot about a Trump election in 2016 would mean we were lumped in with the libs under "one big awful tent" opposing Trump like during the Iraq War. We would and did get marginalized and silenced in the name of a "united front". Trump also acts as a Nixonian figure functioning like a black hole, literally warping all political discourse around his singular person - politics in the era of Trump has no longer been about ideology, issues, or even party but your personal opinion regarding Donald Trump.

With Trump out and the Democrats in this allows the left to finally distinguish itself from the liberals once again without the conversation inevitably turning toward Trump and how "uniquely awful" he is.

On the other hand, it's abundantly clear that the Democrats are going to yet again exploit the specter of Trump and "fascism" to try and silence the left. Before the election criticizing the Democrats wasn't allowed because we have to "unite against Trump" to win the election; after the election and before the inauguration criticizing the Democrats isn't allowed because "Biden isn't even in office yet"; after the inauguration criticizing the Democrats won't be allowed because "we have to focus on keeping the Republican fascists out in the next election". And so on. It's our job at this point to tell them to shut the fuck up.

The left cannot distinguish itself from the neoliberals or succ dems in the perception of the majority of Americans at this point if that’s what you’re hoping for in a Biden presidency.

People mostly laughed at Occupy Wallstreet, but it was exactly that.

      One hundred fucking percent.

There is no "harm reduction" argument to be made here, and even if there was, Joe wasn't it. The reason we can't accomplish anything via elections in this country is because the dems keep offering us literally nothing and we're so cucked that we keep voting for them anyway. Yes there's other stuff besides elections that you can and should be doing, but specifically with regards to our government the only path forward is the one that results in the destruction of the Democratic party.

If this had leaked before the election I probably wouldn’t have voted.

I have no respect for anyone that talks to black activists like this.

Gee it's almost like libs don't actually pay attention and just blindly check the (D) box. What a fucking clown.

Biden never hid that this is who he is for a second. No one who made any effort to keep up on politics should be surprised by this.

I read the replies to the tweet and now you have to

“Well, Biden did honestly make what he said here a central part of his campaign, and Bernie Sanders did not. Bernie Sanders did not run on Charlottesville. He ran on the white working class and M4A. He ran on Fox News. He teamed up with the likes of Joe Rogan.”

He sounds like a markov chain rendering of US presidents as they are depicted in action movies

And that will be sufficient for 40-80% of the country to immediately accept what he is saying as cold hard truth

I love how the narrative for the last four years was the poopy Drumpf is mean to everyone and half the interactions Biden has with people, is him raising his voice if he doesn't like what they have to say. Everyone knows that tone of voice. It's the "shut the fuck up I am talking" tone of voice.

The thing is, trump is mean and cruel, but hes a businessman, he doesnt insult people he wants on his side, and normally says shit that can be played off as a joke. Biden gets genuinely angry at mild criticism, he completely loses control. There are gonna be a lot of bad clips over the next 4 years

The only reason, the ONLY reason that Joe Biden is going to be the next president of the United States is because people believed that he wouldn't enact radical progressive policies. Imagine what an egotistical fool you'd have to be to think it had anything to do with you.

Where the fuck does Joe Biden get the fucking gall to talk about Charlottesville anyway?

Heather Heyer was marching in a group of people from DSA, ISO, and IWW. You know, Antifa. The same fucking people Biden has spent the last six months denigrating and threatening.

The fucking Center For American Progress weren’t the ones out there marching, Joe.

We didn’t get to hear the third platform, but two of the platforms Joe ran on that everyone told him he couldn’t win with were “restoring the soul of America” and “the president’s words matter.”

    What a bold campaign.

Co-founder of a supposedly grassroots advocacy group called Operation Frederick Douglass, and somehow Biden's history of racism, sexism, and rank conservatism just flew over her head until this obscure clip. Sometimes you want to give people the benefit of the doubt but this is just some real stupid shit. Either that you're just a grifter. Either way fuck twitter heads
