I have a friend who read some of his work on the historical tattoo culture and raved about it and I've seen him on Twitter before dunking on 'rational historian' BBC gammons who tried and failed to own him for 'just studying tattoos' when he used that knowledge to completely demolish their false assumption.

What a guy, I found several faculty (not all in philosophy) that focus on anarchist social movement studies.

How the fuck are you supposed to credibly teach social and political thought when your knowledge is so wrong Wikipedia trumps it? There is actual academic research on the history and foundations of anarchism, if you know how to research in the slightest this is just ignorance.
I don't know how it's done in America, but where I am at you have to pass two comprehensive or qualifying exams in the subject before you can even begin writing a dissertation.
