i think this is an excellent compromise we can all get behind. hell, I'll even let the french be a little culturally imperialist AND strengthen domestic industry with exports!

guillotines for everyone, machined by artisanal woodcrafters in the traditional guillotine-making districts of paris!

I mean, right wing culture routinely kills people, but go off I guess. I feel like the problem with “cancel culture” is it smacks too much of organization among the left, the only thing that gives capitalists nightmares.

I'll say it again, France get the fuck out of Africa challenge. They bombed a wedding in Mali just a month ago. They have neo colonial deals everywhere and keep assassinating democratically elected leaders, Thomas Sankara being the most infamous example. o7 to the ANTIFA Super Soldiers pissing off Macron.

Who could imagine any sharing of notes or common denominators between BIPOC American anti-racist movements and the African decolonization movements struggling against French, British, Spanish, and Portuguese imperialism?

No. Here’s the whole thread: https://twitter.com/ggreenwald/status/1359139829418758146?s=21

He was noting that Obama had spoken a few years ago against the the form of wokeness that is now culturally dominant, interesting mostly because you probably wouldn’t hear Obama say anything like this today.

What? He even said a few weeks ago “defund police” is a bad slogan.

Did you listen to the clips? The college comments in particular are just not the way things work anymore. We just call that deplatforming now and it’s common for college students to shut down speaking events before they happen. For Obama to suggest the same thing today would be tantamount to him advocating for giving fascists a platform.

My party is facing a rightwing populist in the next election that very nearly defeated us last time.

We're going to pivot our party toward hers to make it harder for voters to distinguish between us.

    Yes this will work.
