Just realized that I, a white man, will be 30 some day. I don't even like podcasts I don't want to start one and IPAs are nasty, why are these two things so mandatory :(
Fuck now I’m imagining my parents using fucking chapo.chat. We’ve gotta have a few 60-somethings in here.
I think my dad would unironically like posting on here more than I would.
He listens to TrueAnon with me and references it, he heard one cumtown clip and asked if we could listen to more( :haram: ), and otherwise is a mega-tier meme lord who needs an outlet for posting. He is also a newspaper comments section reply guy about workers rights and unionization.
I'm thirty, don't worry a government agent will drop off your cargo shorts you don't have to buy any.
do we get a stipend for all white new balances? those things look like they get stained fast.
The year is 2069, the nursing home worker asks you "Are ya winning, old fart?"
I just found a caffinated Cider and now I dont have to be sober or asleep ever again.
Don't worry, there is a secret dark path where you start a go-pro model train channel and like Stout.
God I went through a phase early in the pandemic where I was just craving sours all the time
I love a good sour but I can't drink more than couple in an evening without wanting to change it up.
I got out to the Cantillon brewery in October before the pandemic, and it was so awesome.
Their coolship is wild.
Agreed. I am just very tired of the overabundance of IPAs on the market. And it seems really hard to find new, good pilsners at the store.
Or just good craft pilsners in general.
Man my favorite bar had an amazing house pilsner. Cheap as fuck and delicious and crisp. Fucking covid.
Pilsner urquell was when i realized pilsners are maybe the finest style and the domestic brands are just a crude misrepresentation
Early 30's aren't bad, its just more of your 20s with worse hangovers and a slower metabolism.
I'm nearly 35 and I exclusively drink wine in terms of alcohol.
Resist the current!
highly recommend. it's very neutral to mix, and i don't even mind drinking it straight. I think of it as like a weaker vodka. not nearly as strong.
I don't even know what I'm missing so it's ok. The hardest part is when it comes up in conversation at a bar, because it then becomes everyone's mission the whole night to make me drink.
30
Shh bb is ok.
TBH there's so much range in IPAs. Hop bombs are stupid as fuck. There are IPAs that taste like tropical fruit blends, nothing like the meme of IPAs tasting like boiled arugula (looking at you, Torpedo).
there is a great range, but also an oversaturation of crappy ones too.
but once you find breweries you like that do consistent ipas. it's a great feeling.
fruity and sour are the way to go.
I'm out here looking for the Ultra Rare lactobacillus brewed sour beer. It's got that flavor tang that other sour beers can't get anywhere near. Brewed with yogurt or something idk but it has no dairy profile at all.
Just drink vodka and lean into toxic masculinity if anyone questions it
any beer recs for someone who really only likes stella kona lager and miller high life?
that is helpful its not like I made a post asking for it anything lmao idiots jesus
why branch out
all beer tastes like piss so just stick to cheap piss
Go for Belgian beers: Chouffe and Duvel Tripel Hop are both awesome, for example.
Is it too mainstream to like Blue Moon? I do like Blue Moon. I don't think even BevMo near me would carry what you're talking about.
I've no idea what Blue Moon tastes like but if you like it then go for it comrade :af-heart:
I'm in France so the beers I recommended above are in fact pretty mainstream here (like you find them in basically every supermarket).
Yeah try fancier belgian ales (stella is a belgian ale but it's like the bud light tier one). Try gulden draak, it's like $10-12 usd for a 750 but it's a 11% and extremely palatable and tasty. Beer people would probably yell at me for this characterisation but very generally it tastes like like stella but not diluted with water. Saison dupont and chimay, also a lot of the other trappist monk beers, have been really tasty to me. New belgium has a $10 six pack belgian ale I started seeing around here last fall that's pretty good too. I tend to like things branded as belgian ales, farmhouse ales, and saisons, i think it's kind of a blur between styles. I like kona beers too. Big wave (thats the blue one right?) is probably my favorite of em
liking miller high life
:what:
when I lived in the party house in college we couldn't even get people to steal that piss out the fridge
i really don’t like bitter beers tbh and hop flavor is overrated for the hoppy craft beers
Oh hey yeah you're right! This is a straight thing! I'm safe!
Dont worry, we can always get got by the feds before we hit 30 comrade. Or I guess I'll cohost your IPA ranking podcast
