Yes the only choices are Republicans shaving 2 million off the population to keep the economy open and Democrats letting pharmaceutical executives squeeze every fucking penny out of the crisis. Of course this is a sustainable system :ursus-hexagonia: why do you ask?

Lol probably my richest white friend growing up’s dad used to say he hates steakhouses and refused to order steaks at restaurants because he can make one better at home for a fraction of the price. Always respected that. He was a doctor not a business guy doing client dinners or any bullshit like that though

Maybe having a LITTLE bit of anti-science, as a treat, is unironically the best way to assess reality

irrational "pro-vax" sentiment is definitely a thing with COVID.

eh, I don't really think so. They really believe that the vaccine is going to solve everything despite new variants evolving every week

and that the long haulers (who've already had the virus) will get better with the vaccine for some magical reason, even tho no evidence suggests that

they're just delusional in the opposite direction of chuds

The company will soon begin plans to hike prices given the “significant opportunity for our vaccine”

Fuck this country. Where can I move that's less shitty? Ireland? Spain?

The poorer half of Europe has fairly lax immigration policies for Americans, the richer half has set up barriers to block poor USians from fleeing the sinking boat.

for tracking people to deal with after <choose your societal upheaval: revolution, collapse, etc>

Just don't say this part. Make it "the people destroying the planet" or something.

You should probably talk to a lawyer first, but maybe there's a way to phrase it so you're not breaking any law. Like imagining a hypothetical situation where someone named Joff Bozos might die in a guillotine-related incident

I may own the domain name centralparked.com and was toying with the idea of making a public vote for who should get an all expenses paid tour of Central Park...

Soon Covid will become the disease of the uninsured. Absolute psychopathic monsters that deserve to die.

Yeah the line to minimum wage workers will be "why didn't you take the healthcare your employer offers?" Even though most of them take literally half of your paycheck for shit deductibles, that's if you even have the option

The idea that Americans pay insurance, and then still can be out of pocket hundreds of dollars to get healthcare is bizarre to me.

Just talked to most of my co-workers on my shift today about vaccines, half of them said they didn't plan on getting the shot even though we'll be eligible soon 🙃

We're fucking doomed aren't we? Anyone have suggestions of countries to emigrate to?

At this point stealing all the vaccine technology/formulas like the DPRK did is the only moral choice. Vaccine researchers should just upload their vaccine IP to the internet, Pharma executives losing out on a bit of profit is the kind option.

Unironically yes. All vaccine research should have been public and shared, fuck all this nonsense about companies and shit, give me the magnet link to "Phizer_COVID-19_Vaccine.pdf"

Especially because the research was at least partly publicly funded.

For the development of the vaccine, Biontec received 375 million, Curevac 252 million - all government funds. And BEFORE approval, the big companies join as partners. Pfizer for Biontec, Bayer for Curevac, AstraZeneca for Moderna and buy ready-made government innovations.

For which the corporations get about three billion Euros from the German state AGAIN in sales.

The states buy something for a lot of money that they've created themselves. This is the stupidest phase of capitalism

So what does this mean? I have had my second dose bug does this means it's not as effective as they've claimed? Or is it a case of Pfizer banking off american gov incompetence that Covid will continue to mutate until the end of humanity?
