The working class works towards its own destruction without any coercion. People working in the military industrial complex aren't slaves, they aren't going to starve on the street if they quit, they willingly choose to work for companies that make guns, airplanes, and tanks. I think nobody should have guns. That includes the state as well. But obviously that will never happen.

I thought gun culture was like really subdued back in like colonial times. And water down and normalized. Like every house had like a musket or a rifle over their fireplace mantle. Take it out on weekends and go hunt game for a Sunday feast. Sounds kind of badass and cool.
