I'll start.

Did you know that Wil "Wesley Crusher" Wheaton's first credited acting role was Martin on the Secret of NIMH animated film? That was probably the last time he sounded assertive and tough in an acting role too, and he was both a little kid and a mouse. :rat-salute:

I did know that! I used to love watching Secret of NIMH as a kid (and TNG)

My favourite fact is that Paul Verhoeven (who incidentally has a double PhD in physics and mathematics) said he cast Caspar Van Dien and Denise Richards for Starship Troopers because they looked like "empty vessels" lol

Given that Van Dien apparently loved his role in the movie unironically and did a couple of direct to video sequels I think Verhoeven might have been right.

from Blade the line about "some motherfuckers are always trying to ice skate uphill" was inserted by the writers into the movie after hearing Wesley Snipes say it in personal conversation to a friend on set.

I’m sure this is way too obscure but in Star Wars when Leia says “I love you” to Han, Harrison Ford improvised the response: “I know”

Anyway I just love little Easter eggs like that 🥰🥰🥰

Daniel Craig has a small part in The Force Awakens - he's the weak-minded trooper who releases Rey while she's shackled to that torture chair thingy.

Ooh, then did you know when Viggo Martinson kicked that helmet in LOTR and shouts in pain cause he thought merry and pippin died he actually broke his toe! And he just used it!

Oh wow I hadn’t heard that one! Did you know that the reason they barely show the shark in Jaws is that the animatronics sucked?

Steven Spielberg named the shark Bruce after his former boss that he hated.

Viggo actually broke his toe when he kicked the orc helmet bunstayed in character.

Actors were seriously injured during the dog attack scene in Conan the Barbarian.

The reason the drug smuggler from Chungking Express's first half is always wearing the trench coat and sunglasses is that the actress was working on another movie simultaneously, and because of Chungking Express's tight schedule they decided to just cover her up instead of bothering to remove her makeup.

Whoever cut the trailer for Terminator 2 gave away the big reveal that the T-800 was sent back to protect John this time around. Cameron left it purposefully ambiguous until the moment in the mall hallway when he shoots the T-1000.

Somehow I had the pleasure of never watching or knowing the plot of Terminator at all, so when I watched Terminator 2 for the first time a few years ago I had no idea that Arnold was the good guy going in. The twist 100% worked and it was fucking awesome when I released what was happening. Really wished they didn't spoil it in the trailer so most folks could get the wonderful experience I had.

The trailer for Cast Away gave away that Tom Hanks made it back after being stuck on the island. This was done intentionally and Zemekis himself said something to the effect of "people want to know what happens in a movie before they go see it".

Margo Robbie learned a bunch of gymnastics for suicide squad. There's a scene where she runs on the walls and ceiling of an elevator(sorta jumps then pushes herself along) while wearing high heeled boots that was done with no special effects for her(thd monster she fights is obviously cg). If WB was less sexist she would have gotten more screen time and been the focus of advertising.

and been the focus of advertising.

Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn is literally the only thing I know about that movie. I don't know who else is in it or who they play, I don't have any idea what the plot is or basically any event that happens in it. I only know her. Isn't she dead center on the posters and stuff?

What I'm saying is, I thought she was.

The social media buzz around the film focused on her, because she was the most.fun part of a trashfire movie(you don't know the plot because it was edited by a trailer studio.). The movie thinks will smith as dead shot is the main character, and the advertising focused on him and Jared leto as the joker.

Bill Goldberg was in a movie called "Santa's Slay" where he played Santa on a murderous rampage. In one scene, he rode a motorcycle through a strip club and went face-first into a stripper's crotch.

In the time between then and now, they got married and had a couple kids. That was how they met.

Eric Stoltz is still in some shots of Back to the Future, mostly from behind, although some scenes of Marty skateboarding are clearly not Michael J Fox.

The fight in the alleyway in They Live was improvised. So was the bubblegum line.

Am I remembering right and that scene was done in one shot?

Oh here’s a neat one. When Andy Sorenson was doing test shoots for To End The World, the plan was to do the big climax scene as a one-shot, as a callback to the intro. But it didn’t work and by the time they decided to scrap it, they were well into post and he was on another project. So the CGI-heavy scene that he’s famous for was actually part of reshoots. He didn’t find out until the premiere

Bill Paxton has been killed by an Alien (as a marine in aliens) by a Predator (a cop in Predator 2) and a Terminator (punk in police station in Terminator)

James Stewart had to take over and direct a movie he acted in because the alcoholic director was so sauced he couldn't do his job.

The mall in the original Dawn of the Dead has no elevator. All the elevator scenes were shot at a different location.

In the finale of the first Macross movie one of the missiles launched as part of a big Salvo is actually a beer can of the animators favorite beer. The logo flashes into view as the barrage roars by.
