Whoever cut the trailer for Terminator 2 gave away the big reveal that the T-800 was sent back to protect John this time around. Cameron left it purposefully ambiguous until the moment in the mall hallway when he shoots the T-1000.
Somehow I had the pleasure of never watching or knowing the plot of Terminator at all, so when I watched Terminator 2 for the first time a few years ago I had no idea that Arnold was the good guy going in. The twist 100% worked and it was fucking awesome when I released what was happening. Really wished they didn't spoil it in the trailer so most folks could get the wonderful experience I had.
The trailer for Cast Away gave away that Tom Hanks made it back after being stuck on the island. This was done intentionally and Zemekis himself said something to the effect of "people want to know what happens in a movie before they go see it".

Margo Robbie learned a bunch of gymnastics for suicide squad. There's a scene where she runs on the walls and ceiling of an elevator(sorta jumps then pushes herself along) while wearing high heeled boots that was done with no special effects for her(thd monster she fights is obviously cg). If WB was less sexist she would have gotten more screen time and been the focus of advertising.

Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn is literally the only thing I know about that movie. I don't know who else is in it or who they play, I don't have any idea what the plot is or basically any event that happens in it. I only know her. Isn't she dead center on the posters and stuff?

The social media buzz around the film focused on her, because she was the most.fun part of a trashfire movie(you don't know the plot because it was edited by a trailer studio.). The movie thinks will smith as dead shot is the main character, and the advertising focused on him and Jared leto as the joker.

Oh here’s a neat one. When Andy Sorenson was doing test shoots for To End The World, the plan was to do the big climax scene as a one-shot, as a callback to the intro. But it didn’t work and by the time they decided to scrap it, they were well into post and he was on another project. So the CGI-heavy scene that he’s famous for was actually part of reshoots. He didn’t find out until the premiere
