Worried I’ll lose a lot of energy though.

Edit: should’ve written that I meant “intermittent fasting”

My bad 😞

You are always going to feel less energetic to some degree when cutting calories, that's just how your body works.

Lots of people have success doing IF, I'm cutting now and I kind of fell into a semi-IF eating schedule (at least on weekdays). I've been consuming about 500 calories each day from 7AM - 5PM and then I get the rest in between then and bedtime. It's been working for me thus far, but you will still have to employ other strategies because most people can easily put away 1500 calories in a couple of hours without thinking about it.

Can you explain IF? I only eat one meal a day most of the time - is that intermittent fasting or is there a set schedule?

It just means you eat all of your calories within a small time range instead of spread through the entire day. I'm sure one meal counts as long as you're not also like, snacking 6 hours before and after.

Coffee with creamer and sugar, Oatmeal (the added protein kinds), and a protein bar usually. I try to stick to things with high protein and/or fiber as I find them to be the most satiating. I drink a ton of water during this time as well.

Fruit is usually my go-to for a satiating snack, particularly any kind of melon and unsweetened apple sauce.
