Best part is no ads, no malicious data-mining and click trackers. This place is a breath of fresh air, I'm tired of being monitized.

Culturally I can understand hating what the Beatles represent, and yeah it’s fun to make white boomers and libs mad, but I still think they’re undeniably good. Just the way they wrote songs was fucking clever and the production and everything is just so good. I know, I’m a lib.

Same - chapo reddit was the only thing that kept me on that site, now I'll check it every few days. Scroll thru 4 pages & close it within 2 minutes.

The Beatles were a psyop. Don't trip about. Talented musicians, but they everything about their career in the US was tailored by intelligence services.

It was kinda the prototype for culture war and also commodified music like never before. Distract people with music, then divide people along those lines. The "hippie" stuff was a divide and conquer tactic used to move discussion from "hey, why are we in these wars?" To "these stupid drugged out Beatles hippies suck, and they hate the war, so the war must be good!".

          Elvis?

Plausible, although it seems more likely that a lot of hippies were just plain-old libs. What's more lib than trying to chant away the rain? Plus, we know the top-down "conspiracy" around hippies was to create the War on Drugs to delegitimize and criminalize them.

I don't think there was like a CIA dude puppeting them or anything, but they were definitely dealing with intelligence agencies through the proxy of their label.

The war in drugs stuff was the cover, if they weren't a threat, they wouldn't have needed to do it. It have them the ability to create thousands of political prisoners and bust movements with the tacit consent of the populous.

That divide festered and became a cultural touchstone over the next couple generations. Not that it wasn't there to begin with, it was built on the existing racism in america. They just managed to get the racists to associate way with being good for racism and peace with anti-white plots.

I'll have you know I graduated top of my class in high school choir, and I've uncovered numerous secret messages hidden in their songs, and I have over 300 confirmed hours on The Beatles: Rock Band
