The dastardly (((cultural Marxists))) were behind this all along it seems.

This entire thread is wild, as liberals desperately seek someone else to blame for Trump's victory.

Glad I'm not an American, this shit's too funny.

Is it really this hard to be like 'Yeah maybe running a candidate that won 0 primaries and was trying to outflank her (openly fascist) opponent from the right wasn't smart (after we called them 'weird' and then got the coveted Dick Cheney endorsement)?'

      I guess it is

In 10 years: "Our program to deport every single person with a greater-than-average concentration of melanin in their skin, and exterminate everybody who isn't cis and heterosexual, is facing some real opposition from these delusional cultural marxist tankies and we need to STOP listening to them if we wanna win the next election. Sometimes change has to be incremental; perhaps in 50 years when our 9-0 Supreme Court is brought back to 5-4 or better, we can consider allowing non-whites to exist in this country. We have to RESIST fascism in all its forms."

    r/neoliberal

    reps Hayek

    reps NATO

"ITS MUH CULTURAL MARXISTS WHO LOST US THE VOOOOOOOTE!!!"

You people are the problem. Nobody else but you and your evil disgusting anti-human socioeconomic mission to spread immense suffering throughout the entire world, a mass murder of millions of innocent people each year due to artificially created crises to enrich the pockets of americas 1%. Now all the chickens are slowly coming home to roost and all you can do is seethe about enemies that a deranged old man made up while on benzos as a coping mechanism.

    Incrementalism? Incremental steps toward what?
Wall street running the economy with NATO sabre rattling as foreign policy?
    We literally have that now
    Neoliberals are morons

leftists are not popular with the american public

They clearly have no idea what leftism is. Leftist policies are VERY popular with the american public. As long as you don't use labels like "socialism, "communism" etc. People like this probably think leftism is just "woke stuff" and nothing else.

Yea just because you keep insisting you're a leftist while campaigning with the cheyneys doesn't mean your problem was being too progressive.

We probably have to drop teachers unions. theyve been toxic since Covid and basically everything they oppose is both popular and effective. Bring in the charter schools, start paying for merit, ect

yeah, that's definitely going to work. Make Americans even more moronic than they already are.

Isn't it weird how all of neoliberals stated policy goals are just the republican national platform.

Saw another post on neolib earlier and the top comment called out another obvious issue, the lefts obsession with trains. Clearly the dems obsession with providing mass transit has gone too far.

A large number of people on that sub are literally and openly republicans. The sub welcomes republicans.

The most toxic political body in the broader culture complaining that its those damn teachers unions

I've been listening to the podcast that covers adventures in oddessy, and it's wild to hear these 1990s evangelical talking points just transplanted into liberal rhetoric

Brilliant political instincts to drop one of the few large energized and organised working class grass roots movements that are still somewhat aligned with your party

Yes, yes, jettison literally the most (and in my experience, at this point, only) active part of your coalition (specifically the liberal gay and trans people). That is good incrementalist strategy, and not an indication of future political intent or spinelessness.
