Just Finished reading"State and Revolution" :lenin-cat:

what a great book, you can feel the anger of Lenin towards Kautsky and his opportunism, it really reads like a callout post especially in the last chapter.

Kautsky sold out his ideology for electoralism and end up just wanting a "government... willing to meet the proletariat half-way" and he was willing to compromise with the social democrats, how he just ignores the question of what to do with the Bourgeois State after the revolution, and that he just claimed any marxist criticism of him as anarchism to dismiss it.

i like how in the end Lenin said Kautsky can keep his bourgeois socdem Germany, while he is going to establish an actual worker's state in Russia and he does that in like 4 months after the book

    i like it, big fan

I'm having a really miserable day. This has been one of the hardest years in my life. I don't care to compare them because there are too many bad years to choose from. Don't want to sound too melodramatic but it really feels like I was just born to suffer. Real doomer hours :doomer:

lol honestly fuck you. Anticommunist social democracy does it again! Just go ahead and fucking ban me. As the “anti-tankie” “left” slowly but surely gives into the anti-Russia war propaganda on the grounds that “well really, Putin, Assad, Juche, Iran, Cuba, America, the Soviet Union are all equally bad...” and devolves into liberal both-sidesism, I hope you remember that you’re responsible for helping axe a principled commitment to anti-US imperialism. I was never being ironic, fuck you and fuck this sub. You idiots have made me like Stalin more (who I literally think is bad) because I realize now he was essentially right about social fascism.

Man goes to doctor. Says he’s depressed. Says life seems harsh and cruel. Says he feels all alone in a threatening world where what lies ahead is vague and uncertain. Doctor says, “Treatment is simple. The One True Leftist is on Chapo.chat tonight. Go and see him. That should pick you up.” Man bursts into tears. Says, "But doctor…I am the One True Leftist.”

hooked up with this guy tonight and as we were just shooting the shit on his bed this mfer said "Lenin was crazy" and said the first non-crazy USSR leader was Gorbachev. It pained me to do so, when all I wanted was to just cum, but I had to take an additional thirty minutes to make him retract his batshit insane statement before I took my clothes off

good question I think we got on the subject from commiserating about Biden winning > Forever Wars/Drone Strikes > Dems v Republicans (in the eyes of the average american) > "Communism bad" propaganda > USSR > Lenin. We spent like an hour and a half talking about the above shit for no reason

I was very happy after it looked like I had scraped with an A in my CS class, since I needed to get a perfect score on my final to get over 90% and I managed to get it. That is, until I checked just now and they manually changed my exam's grade from a 100% to an 85% without any comment or email. :agony-mescaline: Already emailed the prof, can't wait to hear I was supposed to write my code in the most pythonic way or whatever they decided is the metric this time.

there's always some kind of BS, in some of my classes the exams had (clearly wrong, nonsensical) answers marked as correct and they wouldn't do anything about it.

        God could do that.

The one-electron universe postulate, proposed by John Wheeler in a telephone call to Richard Feynman in the spring of 1940, is the hypothesis that all electrons and positrons are actually manifestations of a single entity moving backwards and forwards in time. According to Feynman:

I received a telephone call one day at the graduate college at Princeton from Professor Wheeler, in which he said, "Feynman, I know why all electrons have the same charge and the same mass" "Why?" "Because, they are all the same electron!"

        One-electron universe

I just found out today that my dog basically takes a leak all by himself, he uses his paw to open the door to the garden, takes a piss and then comes back. You still have to close the door behind him but still. What a well-mannered dog.

“In a situation of manipulation, the Left is almost always tempted by a “quick return to power,” forgets the necessity of joining with the oppressed to forge an organization, and strays into an impossible “dialogue” with the dominant elites.”

Thought this quote from Pedagogy of the Oppressed was interesting, given the ongoing AOC/squad struggle sesh
