                The entire structure of Lemmy assumes the ability to downvote, and that’s why comments are ordered the way they are rather than just chronologically

          Ya. Assad is pretty bad. Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party are fascist. The issue is that a lot of people are very impressionable. So when you make Assad shitposts it normalizes him.
