restructuring through bankruptcy doesnt actually dissolve the organization, it just changes how their debt is handled. it does mean, however, if they continue to fuck up, they will dissolve eventually

they mentioned they would be operating as a nonprofit which means that they cant take any political stances whatsoever (probably)

I think, they already try and claim they are non-partisan, They endorse and give money to Republicans in tight races and also endorse like a few safe democrats and give them something. That's they kept claiming they are neutral/ non-partisan. I think (not 100% sure ) that allowed some privileges that partisan political orgs did not get (again not sure what those were but read this somewhere).

Step 1: NRA files for bankruptcy and moves to texas

Step 2: Subsidized arms program for all Texans

Step 3: North America gets turned into a wasteland after thermonuclear war

    Step 4: ???

    Step 5: PROPHIT

The sheer hypocrisy of so called ‘leftists’ supporting the capitalist notion of ‘bankruptcy’ just because they don’t like a NONPROFIT org. One day capitalism will target the left and you’ll be sorry.

Maybe they should've spent less money on $5 lattes and pulled themselves up by the bootstraps

Obligatory comment saying that you should join your local chapter of The John Brown Gun Club or the Socialist Rifle Association.

Unrelated but is the SRA an op?

edit: what I meant was how transparent is the SRA? I feel like entering any personal information to join a "socialist rifle organization" sounds like a FBI honeypot

I thought the SRA was good, was going to look into joining after I move. They were on Rev Left and talked about doing mutual aid during a hurricane (forget which).

Probably have a few. NRA membership is required at a lot of gun ranges, is given out for free with some gun purchases, etc.
