Probably nothing, but figured it was worth a post.

House Ethics Committee is going to have a struggle session over whether AOC good or bad.

AOC has been doing what Pelosi wanted 99% of the time, it would be hilarious if they kicked her out for being "too left wing"

thing is too, she understands a lot of issues, especially for working class people as well as migrants. She has had so many interviews where she nails it, better than the vast majority of politicians we've had but then her voting record and shit just does not reflect her so called values. it's truly mind numbing. When she first came on the scene I was excited that a young person who shared a lot of my views would be in congress and idk maybe like get some shit fixed but lol, all hope for her has died, especially her geopolitics are pure garbo

She crossed the picket line by grabbing a sign and doing a few chants, and then quickly snuck across while everyone was distracted by a rousing chorus of "Which Side Are You On?".

If I understand correctly there was a divide between teamster leadership and the actual striking workers, AOC picketed for the teamster leadership who pushed through an end to the strike without securing the demands of the striking workers, as well as without giving them monetary aid during the strike.

Thats what the twitter thread/comment seems to say at least.

She’s a democrat though. Not a socialist fascist like Bernie sanders who supports brocialist labor

The committee did not specify what exactly it was probing regarding the congresswoman and noted that its statement “does not itself indicate that any violation has occurred.”

    Uhh, wtf?

In Communist China, dissident members of the Politburo are neutralized with sham ethics investigations under the guise of fighting corruption

They did this under Clinton and Obama and Trump, too. Pure fishing expedition until they found something.

One way the Ethics Commission keeps "rogue" Congresspeople and other high level bureaucrats in check is to simply maintain an active investigation on them indefinitely, putting particular members under a much higher degree of scrutiny than the rest.

99% of the US can't differentiate between a succdem and a communist. As much as she tries to be a good little democrat, AOC is gonna get purged eventually

I'm sure the Dem Leadership is still hella-pissed over Crowley being dethroned. And there's a line around the block of corporate dems who would happily hold the seat.

story time, I actually have a really loose old time aquaintance who works for a Democrat Senator. His girlfriend works for the DCCC, and they complain that AOC makes their job "so hard". They are absolutely still mad about Crowley.

The dress was nothing but a beard that allowed her (in her own mind) to excuse herself from participating elite society as one of their own. Nobody at the gala was offended by the phrase, they all knew she needs to fool the little people with bright lights and loud sounds. They're all in the masquerade together.

She won’t be allowed to post. Therefore she will be easier to remove in 2 years.

    :geordi-no: Force the vote.

:geordi-yes: Threaten an ethics committee investigation.
