Randomly musing here, I think I'm one of the few people who has posted my full body/face here (not like that, it was a cool clip of my band playing in an underground waterway). I've met a few Hexbears IRL and hang out from time to time, and I'm always curious as to what other users actually look like.

Absolutely not in a horny way, to be clear, just out of curiosity.

I think because part of our founding was rooted in the BLM protest resurgence in 2020, there was a fairly big shift of not posting pictures of oneself for opsec reasons. That said, I remember some naked pics on one of the lifeboat discords.

        :edgeworth-shrug:

Back when I originally posted the clip, admins and other elder mods told me to go ahead if I felt comfortable, and I am fortunate to say I do.

I think I got banned on one of them. Thankfully the mods were kind enough to let me create an account here with the same username, and have a second chance or something.

Imagine a bald Matt Walsh. That's me.

Also, if you pick through my history, you'll find several pictures of my adorable dog.

I've posted my motorcycle, where you can juuuuust make me out as a blurry set of pixels in the reflection on my helmet visor. I've also posted video of my dog where you can hear my voice/see my arm petting her.

I'm certain I'm far too uninteresting to attract a doxxer, but it's still something I'm a bit paranoid about at times. But anyway I'm a large coastal adult son.

That's a badass looking bike! Much cooler than like 90% of Harleys I've seen. If I was to ride, I'd look into an Indian brand bike. They look kinda like yours!

My dad's a Harley guy, keeps telling me to get one - but idk I really love the "standard" look and I'm not a fan of the bobtail or chopper or anything like that (though I did raise my bars which did wonders for my comfort on long rides).

Indians are cool, I would also look at Triumphs and Royal Enfields for the classic Euro/American bike look, but basically every brand has a "modern classic" line right now since that became trendy about ten years ago. I would avoid getting an actual classic until you're really experienced at maintenance, lmao.

Part of me wants a indian or a triumph. I like the leatherbear connotations

Any issues with getting parts since the SMO began? I've wanted an ural for a while now (especially since I'm in a winter location and would keep riding in the winter but was sketchy on my normal bike) but that's something I've been curious about

A few issues for large parts, less so for small ones. There are a couple fasteners on my bike that were sold out on the Ural store but I found the exact same part on the Home Depot website, lmao. Now that they're producing in Kazakhstan I expect what issues exist (ie getting replacement exhausts and gearboxes) to smooth out by next year.

That plus the English-speaking Ural community's thirty years of slightly sketchy repair advice means I've never been frustrated for lack of parts.

Long dark haired tall and skinny white dude, I get called "Jesus" by people in public as a joke sometimes. Which is very ironic as I'm an atheist. I live in a more remote area of South Africa, so I guess it's uncommon to see people that look like that outside of the big cities.
