It's gonna be hilarious when Biden takes the vaccine on live TV and then dies of legit natural causes two weeks later.
I hate to say it but COVID has given me a really big head. Like, from Feb I was screaming to high heaven about how this was going to be a shit show. Specifically around issues of sick pay and access to healthcare. It makes me just wanna be like 'I fucking told you so, listen and actually consider some of the solutions I talk about' even though I'm just a big ol'dummy like everyone else. Just one who knows a little bit of Marx.
covid + constantly being around chuds who to this day think it's fake has made me into :jokah:
what are your solutions
Abolish private property :lenin-fancy:
Just keep planting seeds everywhere you go. Avoid scary words. Get people to agree on a common enemy.
In an effort to improve morale, my company is launching "accountability buddies".
Your boss is no longer accountable for making sure you get your work done. Instead, it's your responsibility to find an accountability buddy to keep you on track.
Or, if you have a goal outside work, why engage your friends? Instead, tie your entire personal sense of responsibility to work, and get a coworker to be your accountability buddy for it.
But yeah, silicon valley is totally fully of the smartest, best people with the best ideas.
"Accountability buddy" is what I'm going to name my hunter-killer police robots in my dystopian sci-fi novel
jesus christ this sounds exactly like some bullshit my cursed cali based startup would do six months from now. thank you for reminding me that I should stop using weed to sleep so I can pass an employment drug test when I inevitably quit over some bullshit avant-garde method of gathering meaningless 'metrics'
The last time my company did something like this I said "nah it's not for me" and then never heard back about it
If its a colleague that is well aware this is all bullshit its fine. If its someone that is buying into the whole company thing - what a fucking shitty system
Someone said something similar to me about my disabilitiy and what I went though. That they would have killed themselves if they were me. Another smash hit was when I was on a date a few years ago and the person was like "you're very young and look healthy, why'd you need a walking stick" and then proceeded to tell me to "sit up straight" and "stand up straight". When I explained that I was sitting up straight and had a spinal problem they were suddenly remorseful. Seriously people don't realise how deeply entrenched ableism is in everything. You're right it's very harmful and not fine at all
Yeah fuck them. If they really would kill themselves in your shoes that means you're stronger. Second you shouldn't feel bad about something you can't control. Third I'm not disabled and I spend most of my free time gaming as well - it's cool.
I guess people focus on different experiences they had. When I know I'm in the right I don't feel bad about people being assholes to me. You're in the right here. Moments when I made a fool of myself, though, haunt me.
it might be existentially terrifying and monumentally horrific, but it could definitely be worse...
you couldve been that jackass.
just think how awful thatd be! i certainly wouldnt want to be them, thats for sure. going around being a self absorbed shithead? worst experience ever.
Cogs in the machine don't have feelings, they're disposable and get replaced.
Remember when obama said to think of obamacare as a "starter home" like lmao what's that I can't even afford rent
Can't wait for the cursed timeline where a QAnon believer win the Republican primary in 2024 :agony:
and we still wouldn't get healthcare or a green new deal
let alone ecosocialism :this-is-fine:
Deep cover ops like that does not seem like its in the Democrat playbook to me.
Glad the package my mom accidentally opened was the Christmas gift I got for my dad and not the chastity cage :soviet-bashful:
I just found out that chinese rover just planted tbe chinese flag on the moon.
I am so mad they didn't push over the US flag. It would have been the best prank. There would be nothing we could do in responce.
Can't wait for January and for Biden to get up and definitively command the american public to "start wearing, you know the thing, the covid things"
My aunt died suddenly this year and now found out my uncle has stage 4 throat cancer. Slowly realizing I’ve reached the stage that my relatives are going to start dropping and it’s depressing the hell out of me.
Fuck that's a wild day. If you're able to, take some time to process it. Journal, go for a run - anything that helps you work through that, if you need it. ♥️
