Just though some folks might like to know
i simply do not wish to install the Epic Store. I know it's not actually any worse than Steam, but having to have Steam is already bad enough.

Same here but I figured people might like to know one of the best horror games out there is free right now.
It's better than Steam because all it really does is download games. You don't even need to launch them from the Epic Launcher.
They added an easier mode to the game (it’s still pretty tough) in the Radiant update. Don’t know if you’ve tried it since then but it definitely makes the game more approachable.
that's an awesome game that I'm too much of a coward to play, but I'll get it for some day when I'm grown up enough to play scary games lol
I really owe it to myself to play Alien: Isolation some day. I kinda suck at those survival horror games though. However, I've been watching the Alien franchise since I was in middle school and I have extremely fond memories of playing Aliens vs Predator and Aliens vs Predator 2, pissing my pants during the Colonial Marine campaigns.
AvP2 will always be a classic to me for having you play an Alien through all the stages of its life cycle. One of the first "Quick Time" events in a video game I can think of was when you click attack to chew through the chest of the guy you're bursting out of. Good times.
