I hate when they smugly act like if Trump is elected then a switch magically flips and leftists will start to be oppressed.

NEWS FLASH ASSHOLES. IT'S BEEN HAPPENING THE WHOLE TIME AND BIDEN HAS ESCALATED IT. THE DEMS HAVE SPENT A BUNCH OF MONEY TO KICK LEFTIST CANDIDATES OFF OF STATE BALLOTS. THEY DON'T HIDE IT. YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT THE FUCK YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT.

The left in America has been literally attacked for decades. They've murdered and imprisoned so many leftists, we have to rebuild our institutional knowledge from scratch every new generation. Meanwhile, the same libs and reactionaries who killed Fred Hampton or Sacco and Vanzetti are still in office (okay maybe not for the latter, but it sure feels like it).

love how half of that shit is just liberals arguing how to create the perfect trolley problem meme to "debunk" those silly anti genocidal leftists/Russian assets. None of the death and destruction means anything to these people, they just want to win an argument for their team.

If I argued on .world I'd only get angrier at the libs I know in real life and I can't really afford that these days.

One thing I’ve learned this election cycle is how few people have any knowledge of utilitarianism. Genocide is better than genocide+1. Not acting is a moral choice, and frequently a cowardly one.

A lot of people are saying Hitler was a bad guy for killing 6,000,000 Jewish people but I think we should give credit where credit is due and praise him for not killing 6,000,001.

Gosh, so much to unpack in that "meme"...As i understand it the trolley problem's point is "is the switch thrower responsible for the deaths regardless of their choice?". So not only are they misunderstanding the thought experiment they're oopsie admitting that we are not at the switch but on the tracks and that they choose Palestinian death by throwing the switch for kamala.

The only thing surprising is the mods they're only locking the post because we got too many reports. Not that it had rule breaking stuff just that they'd need to actually act.

Hundreds of comments and the only argument from them is the same old "Trump tho".

None of them answered the question, so I guess that means the answer is ∞.

since China made Russia a vassal state.

      jesse-wtf

save American democracy for four more years!”

They can only save it for four years at a time. Then you have to vote no matter who in order to save democracy for four more years. very-intelligent indeed

Just don't ask (1) is the bad team that bad if they fold at the sight of a voting outcome? Or (2) what does it mean if the bad team is bad enough to simply ignore a voting result but doesn't bother to oust the good team?

A system so fantastic that it is existencially threatened every four years if the only other party (which half the country votes for) manages to get the presidency. No we cannot do anything about it, the president doesn't really have any powers.

The premise of the thread is already liberal. You're not going to convince anyone with combative discourse, you're just going to get at least two parties to waste their time.

People don't change their minds based on facts and logic. They change their minds from something making them more open, and then being nudged in line with the target perspective instead of crashing head-on into it.

If you accuse a liberal of justifying or denying genocide, they're just going to see you as the irrational one, and then justify or deny it even more.

I counted at least 4 tourists. That's fucking impressive. The libshit that said supporting genocide was "having principles" was my favorite I think.
