Literally people who got mad that one user got banned, then started coming up with CHUD level accusations about the mod team.

Is there any actual evidence of organised attempts to sabotage it? Like obviously it's possible, but idk, I don't see particularly why I should believe something just because someone said it.
Just go over and click on Mod Logs, you can see all their raid and spam attempts to ruin the launch.
I mean of any organisation tho. I know people have raided, but it could be anyone. Hell, it could even just be like one person with no life.
They literally have a personal grudge server with a channel called "Admin Trial". They describe hating me "With their dying breath".
That's just kinda sad to me in a way. I get that being upset with admins leaves you feeling powerless, but come on. Be less online.

The best part is that someone in the raiders group misgendered a discord mod on several occasions and still refuses to apologize. I misgendered someone once, apologized when memebers of the trans and enby community told me I should. I wanted to, but wasn't sure if it would just fall on deaf ears, and I'm still the most transphobic person on the internet in their eyes. And the personal grudge Zara seems to have about Quill is one of the grossest things I've had to witness up close.

I mean, tbf, you probably shouldn't have to be told that apologising is a good idea, but whatevever.
The user was banned, and I didn't feel like it would be worth anything but more bait for the flamebaiters. I literally misgendered Caden ONCE, and it was full on a typo and apologizing to someone who literally compared me and other mods to abuser was pretty triggering to the PTSD I have from being raped, beaten and nearly killed by someone who said to me "I love you" everyday.
So, sorry I wasn't really on board with apologizing right away, but if you were in my shoes, would you apologize immediately to someone who invalidates your trauma?

Just users who are pissed they were banned and say that it was because they were Trans and ML. While ignoring the Trans and ML mods and users who agreed with the ban.
I don't know shit about what happened on discord (fuck discord, I popped in on the day of the ban and never went back), I just heard some concerning things. I don't know enough to say more than that. I only hope the moderation here is similar to the moderation on the sub as it existed over the past 6 months or so. That is no ridiculous factional mod actions or discrimination against say ML's (or for that matter other tendencies so long as they're not you know spamming CIA talking points or otherwise being liberals). I remember the drama that happened in MTC with the coup/purge and I just hope the mods are open, transparent, fair, and try and keep the environment similar to how it was on reddit.

Alright. Well like I said. I don't know. I don't mess with discord, I hate the format and I'm not surprised cliques and other drama shit went down (actually what I blame for the MTC stuff ultimately).
As to keeping an eye out I definitely will be. More than anything I hope there isn't any faction drama shit going on. I really think CTH of the last 6-12 months was in a good place culture wise so I'm hoping this place becomes somewhat like that. I don't need another strictly ML space as I have communism.lemmy.ml and I enjoy interacting with new socialists but I'd also I admit I'll just leave if this became an anarchist space or fell to liberal tendencies like imperialism, etc. Some of that is admittedly out of the hands of the mods I understand, it's about the users coming here and forming a userbase, a culture, and a space that was similar to the reddit sub and keeping out/downvoting bad elements who come in to brigade us.

I'm not interested in drama. I just want CTH back as it was. Not CTH but re-imagined as anarchist circle jerk where ML's are constantly downvoted/banned/etc. Not CTH but re-imagined as an ML circle jerk where anarchists are subjected to same as above. And not CTH but re-imagined as a soc-dem pro-Biden sub. I expressed that, you chose to zero in on the anarchist mention and act the victim. Perhaps you need to read a bit more carefully.
That wasn't what Chapo ever was (and as I mentioned neither was it a strictly ML space either). Very interesting you take offense at that.
CTH was always this very strange multi-tendency space that didn't go around with angry mods banning people and calling them red fascists nor going around purging people and calling them anarkiddies.
In my experience on reddit anarchist spaces tend to be exclusionary towards MLs. They call us red fascists, ban us from their spaces, etc, so I would feel uncomfortable. But I didn't come here to start factional conflict/arguments and despite you going out of your ignorant way to pick out a statement sandwiched between my wishes it doesn't become an exclusionary ML space or a liberal space and trying to do just that I'm not interested.
If the idea of this not being an anarchist space makes you angry then either you're in the wrong and should leave because if this is trying to be anything like the sub as I said it wasn't strictly for any particular tendency. Or I'm in the wrong and the people running this place will shortly show me that in which case I'll depart and soon enough so will other MLs and it will inevitably become known on reddit and elsewhere exactly what kind of space this is and it will never be anything like the sub as a result. Time will tell of course and I won't cast any premature judgements (public or otherwise).
If any mods are reading this feel free to let me know. If this is an anarchist space I'll happily leave and you'll have no more trouble from me. If this space also say won't tolerate someone who supports actually existing socialism, please also inform me so that I don't waste my time and you don't have to moderate me later. I'll only stay if myself and my opinions as an ML are not prohibited or subject to official sanction or censorship (I can get that on reddit).
This place is explicitly intended to be neither ML or anarchist leaning. I don't know if the community names "moretankiechapo" and "moreanarchistchapo" will make it in at some point (or if they even should become seperate spaces), but stuff like that is intended to make it clear that this is a place for all leftists, as opposed to a "moretankiechapo" and "lesstankiechapo" structure, which implies that chapo = tankie by default, even though that wasn't true obv.

MTC already has a space on lemmy and are happy there as the head admin is an ML. There never was a "moreanarchistchapo" and they already have raddle.me, besides the fact the reddit admins have not banned any anarchist subs to my knowledge. Completeanarchy is still quite intact and active.
I'm not trying to say your concerns aren't valid, just trying to reassure you that MLs are welcome here (a significant portion of the mod/admin team is ML from what I've seen). This instance isn't about making sure each tendency has its own space for themselves, but to make a space where we can all shitpost together.
I am pleased to hear that of course. I am completely and I mean completely ignorant of any and all developments since the sub was banned. I refuse to use the spy platform known as discord so am ignorant of all happenings in that. I appreciate in this regard the patience shown to me by people here who have been there. Thank you for taking the time.
moretankiechapo only existed because it started to get super fucking liberal in CTH, we always welcomed anarchists so long as they didn't post brainless stuff about how the USSR is actually fascist or whatever

It's a lot of effort to try and bring down another leftist community just because they have a vendetta against some of the mods. Nobody else gives a shit about the drama, go do something actually productive like dunking on libs or literally anything else. I have no stake in any of this, I just want chapo.chat to succeed and I can't do that when we have shitbirds spamming the site and harassing everybody.
