Edit: a friend just told me that not only did the guys only uncle not die in iraq, he was also never in the military and the guy entirely made it up just to try and shame me for making fun of veterans

Imagine illegally invading a country with overwhelming force and air superiority and then dying anyway. Skill issue, lmao owned.

I would've simply chosen not to join the all-volunteer illegal invasion force smuglord

There's a pretty decent chance they were killed out-of-combat in some kind of accident due to poor treatment of soldiers and lax safety regs. Which is funnier.

it depends. if his uncle was an american, british, or australian troop, then no, of course not.

but if he was iraqi, then probably you're the asshole, yes.

YTA you should have been more forward. Out of respect (for the Iraqis) I would suggest something like “oh cool” or “the earth is healing”

If your invasion becomes so comfortable that you have a Burger King on base, you have no reason to die. That is purely 100% a skill issue. I personally would NOT have died and WOULD have fought my way out of that situation by killing everyone with karate chops.

Yeah, but what if they had Iraqi Oddjob running around karate chopping everyone's shins?

      You ever think of that?

Do you not think I have extensively prepared for that exact scenario? I've watched Kill Bill so many times. I know how to have a dramatic fight with a karate master. I would use the secret move against him.

I mean yes, but there is such thing as being an asshole while still not being a bad person. Ya gotta be an asshole to some people sometimes.

"i hope his uncle dies again"

we should be using Juche Necromancy to make each soldier die once for every civilian who's death they had a hand in

My Godfather died in 9/11, but he was a finance hog so it didn't bother me in the slightest

It's what he deserved for getting me a Dilbert business book instead of an actual birthday present

At first I was like "Eh well if someone he cared about died you probably should not be clowning like that", but given that he lied to try and shame you like an idiot, I'd say you rekt him correctly comfy-cool
