My complete lack of interest in knowing who any of these people are continues to pay dividends.

I have an infographic/4chan image that explains literally everything, but I think any normal society would lock me up for sharing this kind of memetic cognitohazard, and also I think it's against the code of conduct to share 4chan shit on here.

Count your lucky stars, you get to live yet another day without learning anything about breadtuber drama

The thing about the pepe-silvia post is it all kinda hinges on that one video where she says a prominent leftist creator did something metoo worthy and honestly leftist(read: breadtube) creator sexpest is a “do you have any idea how little that narrows it down situation” lmao

Don’t get me wrong I have no love for pt tbh but I see a few people who spend too much time on drama trans subs/tttt/whatever lighting the torches already and idk feels a bit premature with what is available, (or seems to be available anyway idk could be more)

Could you please DM the image? I like hoarding esoteric bullshit from the internet to stare at in disbelief later.

Wasn't it posted to !chapotraphouse@hexbear.net like a week and a half month ago?

Edit: Never mind, found it in the modlog; it was posted on February 21st by RNAi to the CTH comm, and a mod removed it.

I knew the person she’s referring to and her has some kind of history but didn’t really know they dated until this discourse funnily enough.

I don’t really like anyone involved in this shit so seeing this tweet around is about as much as I care to know ol

To be fair to Natalie, the interview really seemed like they had cut something important that she said out of it, which is of course precisely what they were going to do no matter what but I can't fault her too much for trying.

For those who want to know, the person she is subtweeting here is PhilosophyTube. There are RUMORS that they dated, but they are just that. What is confirmed is that they are no longer close or interact with each other, since before PT transitioned.

The framing device for the tweet is an amateur short film release on YouTube a couple weeks ago called Envy/Desire which is (apparently, I've not watched it) about a trans woman dating a cis guy, who is either a chaser or a genuinely questioning/transitioning depending on which post I look at. Either case, the film and the creator are incredibly online and I feel way too old to keep up with that discourse now.

Two minutes in and the audio mix is absolutely fucked, imperceptible dialog in one shot and then peaking into your eardrum in the next. The first thing you learn about filmmaking is that audio is everything. Sounds like they just decided to keep the audio from whatever came with their camera and called it a day after principal photography.

Redscare mentioned at 4:40 lmao, yeah I’m out.

well i'm 5 minutes into watching the film and it already needs so many different transphobia-related CWs that i don't know if it's full of /tttt/ brainworms or making fun of these brainworms, i think i'm just gonna stop watching this shit before it gets worse lol

I find this tends to be an extremely thin line. Sometimes it's both!

It's a funny tweet with this context tbh. Fans and twitter in general are/is so fucking toxic, I don't understand how anyone stays in contact with that site.

Going to be honest here, Contrapoints' inability to not be extremely messy on Twitter is probably the most likeable thing about her

Also I listened to the Kill James Bond podcast and whoever Abby's ex is did not come out very well in Abby's version of the story

Just because I live for the messiness, was this an episode where she covered it extensively or was it bits and pieces spread throughout multiple episodes of the podcast?

Bits and pieces I think, she talks about it pretty early on in the show. It definitely comes up in the Hedwig and the Angry Inch episode though. The gist was just that she was dating a trans woman before transitioning and was questioning her own gender and was heavily discouraged from doing so by her ex. Nothing incredibly dramatic just pretty difficult for her iirc

Great to see her mastering the subtle art of the transmisogynistic callout/call to harassment. Someone should make a video about that, though I guess it doesn't really lend itself to costuming.

not gonna watch a video on mfing Kant, the only good thing i can say about that dumb cracker of a nerd is that at least he died before he could make a reddit account, that would've been insufferable

PT >>> CP, but still a lib. Not managing some obscure details about Kant honestly smells kinda based. From what I can tell she's usually pretty rigorous, and at the very least her newer videos make sense on their own, while including specific concepts where they make sense.

I haven’t watched her in a while so I have no ammo for roasting. I just finished Moeller’s series on media theory, but it’s not for everyone, what with the total lack of costuming & bisexual lighting.

It seems that breadtuber Abigail Thorn (known as PhilosophyTube) used to date Natalie Wynn (better known as ContraPoints), when Abigail was still an Egg. She cracked during their relationship and Natalie didn't handle it well, told Abi transness is a curse and tried to talk her out of transitioning, so they broke up and now Natalie is pissed that Abigail's channel is growing faster than hers or smth.

Wow I mean I get not handling it well... but regardless of whether transness is a curse or not... it is what it is and honestly I wish someone told me years ago that it was as rad as it is because it's WAY better than pretending to be a cis guy
