This cannot be stressed enough: THE CYBERTRUCK IS AN INVESTMENT SCAM
IT WILL NEVER BE MADE
IT IS NOT REAL
thx 4 ur attention
The more I hear about it, the more I believe this
It's just so ludicrously stupid for a litany of easily provable reasons, and is being put forward by a(n) (admittedly pretty stupid) guy who owns an automotive company
I refuse to believe he isn't at least informed by others around him as to it's flaws, which means either
-
He really is so brazenly, arrogantly stupid as to push something potentially illegal due to it's terrible design choices or
-
It's a scam
Both are funny at least
-
How tf is that thing supposed to be legal? No side mirrors, no crumple zones, does it even have airbags? And I’m pretty sure those things are mandated in modern cars!
They might be angling for some kind of "recreational vehicle" classification, which would be hilarious because it would mean you can't drive your cybertruck on a highway.
IIRC pickups are classified as "light trucks" and lots of safety stuff is optional. Of course, most manufacturers try to make them as safe as normal SUVs anyway.
It doesn't have airbags, no.
Not that it matters though. It will literally never be a consumer production car. It's a higher end version of the dancing guy in a robot suit.
they will be sold with the mirrors like the one that was shown recently as it is kinda of a legal thing that a car must be sold with the side mirrors, but they are removable, so you take away all the responsability of the company and makes it into individual responsability, now it is your fault if you ever want to do it as elon intended
Cars in the stricter EU markets are being sold without side mirrors and use cameras instead ve cause it improves fuel efficiency and makes cars like the Honda-e easier to park in dense urban environments.
Who would win, the ability to drive safely or a single drop of caked on mud
It seems like they neglected to hire anyone who works in compliance... or has ever designed a car.
Hired? Elon probably told some elementary school kid to 'draw a car' and then decide to go with that
The cybertruck is literally the poochie of vehicles. It was designed by the son of a thief all the way down and his yes men just went with it because they couldn’t hurt :my-hero: feelings. At least The Homer was practical all the way until it came to the price.
pretty sure it was reported that everyone who worked on compliance was fired/quit from twitter lol
While him making the Twitter employees design a car would be iconic Elon I think the Tesla company made this
An indestructible window is also bad if you're stuck, the car is on fire, and firefighters are trying to get to you
maybe Elons employees have snapped and want to kill his fans
Tesla is the #1 brand for consumers who want to burn to death
I always get a kick out of people who think older cars are safer because they are "built like a tank" and don't dent in collisions. All that means is the squishy occupants inside become the crumple zones.
At least the car will still be in good condition for its next owner. Just gotta hose off the interior.
Watching crash test footage of some old gigantic car hitting something modern will show how far we've come in terms of passenger safety.
Leftists: There's too many truck drivers on the road
:melon-musk:: Invents a truck that will kill anyone who drives it.
Pick a lane, lefties. :kelly:
There will be a tiktok challenge where you throw a steel ball at a tesla window, which most windows won’t win
I'm actually not sure, I feel like a steel ball would lose the fight against most car windows. No idea whether I'm right but it just sounds right to me. Maybe they'd be heavy/dense enough to just go straight through, but I would not be surprised to see them bounce.
Cause the deal with breaking car windows is minimizing surface area, right? I don't think spheres are the best at that.
I hope everyone who buys one of these N64 ass things tries to cross a river and drowns.
Starting with :melon-musk:
if they tried to cross a river the car will probably explode
I remember that.
But in the manga STEEL BALL RUN there is a character whose whole thing is throwing Steel Balls. He is fighting the President of the United States to collect the body parts of Jesus.
That has literally nothing to do with like the first 6 parts though, Steel Ball Run is in another universe
Tech bros that don't know anything about cars and safety regulations, invent steel death traps.
"Newton? More like knewnothing, now watch this crash test" - Techbros, probably.
How do the giant kill-zone-grille pickup trucks pass pedestrian safety standards?
Musk already does a lot of illegal things, and he just pays the fines if there are any.
Yeah but this will never be approved for sale as a production car so in this case it won't even get that far.
I feel bad for the pedestrians, but I look forward to the cybertruck being a Death trap.
As only the worst people have PRE-ORDERED THIS SHIT LIKE IT WAS BRAVE FENCER MUSASHI WITH THE FINAL FANTASY 8 DEMO.
isn't one of his actual (not fake/honorary) degrees in physics?
incredible that he has less understanding of it than the average high school kidIt's fake. He's a dropout and essentially had his honorary degree bought for him by a benefactor.
Nah apparently he might have faked that one too

Listen sweaty, it's actually designed to snap your spinal cord instantly. It's humane
Average Tesla blackbox log:
autopilot engage
obstacle detected
steering towards obstacle
disengage manual control
accelerate
disengage autopilot
impact detected, activate headrest gun
activate lithium fire
