except when you aren't sure what your pronouns are or when you know you don't want any used for you. those are both valid <3

          Yeah, that's fair too <3

I definitely would be nervous to on reddit, so I understand completely.

<3 you're valid. I'm trying to get a none tag added to the list so people for whom it's uncomfy don't have to misgender themselves.

          There's an "any" button.

I have no internal feelings of gender and I still managed to find pronouns to set.

Sorry if it sounds that way. I never said you have to identify with a gender, and neither does the site's interface. Not using gendered pronouns isn't liberalism, and that's not even really what that joke was about (it was really just about wanting people to use the feature). "they" and "any pronoun" are both extremely dope and valid options.

In talks with our trans comrades who advocated for this feature, they asked us not to let people make a joke out of it. We will be introducing flairs sometime soon, but please either use the pronoun tags seriously, or don't specify.

Edit: Not to single you out or anything. We all come from a state of ignorance, and we learn about the world and its complexity through experience. This was just a specific example someone mentioned that bothered her.

Maybe consider adding 'comrade' but only if used in combination with something else.
Maybe add 'other pronouns' too (literally that, not a custom tag), since some people do use 'xe/xim' or spivak type pronouns seriously, but it is hard to control in terms of joke tags.

Big appreciate for having both secondary and any pronouns as options.

No. Fuck you. Whatever alleged pro-trans thing you assholes thought you were up to when you started this bullshit was obviously bullshit from the start and is even more obviously bullshit when you start spamming the thread about having access to pronouns.

You're a shitty human being and you should feel bad about yourself.

In popular culture, being explicit about pronouns is rather uncommon, but it is something I have grown accustomed to in leftist and inclusive spaces and to be honest, I don't see what harm it could do. Worst case scenario, by adopting pronouns as a first class feature on this platform we will rile up the chuds, which is a win in my book.

From my understanding though, it is an invaluable tool with regards to the way our trans comrades structure their discourse. It provides them a level of comfort my cis-het male cracker ass is too privileged to fully comprehend. For the modest amount of effort it takes to provide something like that, it seems like a no-brainer.

I get that, which is why I opted in to have them. Makes it easier for those who feel strongly about them to have the space to use the tag.

On mobile the profile settings get squished down to below your post history.

Edit: No, you're right. They're not there. :grimacing face:

Edit 2: Never mind, refreshing seemed to do the trick. :grinning face with sweat:

Gotta scroll all the way down to the bottom.

Set your default view to /all while you’re there.
