Richard D. Wolff, born on this day in 1942, is a Marxist economist and author known for co-founding Democracy at Work and hosting Economic Update, a weekly series which discusses political and economic issues from a Marxist perspective.
Wolff is also Professor Emeritus of Economics at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and currently a Visiting Professor in the Graduate Program in International Affairs of the New School University in New York.
In 1988, Wolff co-founded "Rethinking Marxism", a still running academic journal dedicated to Marxist analyses of economics, culture, and society. Among his other works are "Capitalism Hits the Fan" (2009) and "Democracy at Work: A Cure for Capitalism".
Wolff hosts the weekly 30-minute-long program, Economic Update, which is produced by the non-profit Democracy at Work, which he co-founded.
The New York Times dubbed Wolff "America's most prominent Marxist economist", and he is featured regularly in television, print, and internet media.

The man was a founding figure in what went on to be a whole school of feminism and all JK can do with him is quote him talking about factory organisation
whilst I am engels posting I also don't think on authority is a counter argument against any school of anarchism that acknowleges that some hierarchies at work are justified by necessity. An elected boss who can tell you when and how to do things to coordinate processes is I would argue not incompatible with the anarchist vision

My "leftism" is in part a counter reaction to the rise of facism and the far right. Do I really want moderate centrists to "deal" with fascists? OFC not. I want the original Antifa Supersoldiers that stopped it once before. None of that civility bullshit. I want these knuckle-draggers buried alive.

My pet conspiracy theory that I've spent like 5 seconds coming up with is that Virgil Texas [...] created the accusations himself, faked the cancellation, and now he's a Republican political strategist under another fake name making high 6 figures feeding the RNC strategies on how to co-opt the burgeoning leftism of millenials and zoomers into either apathy or GOP-friendly nationalism. He is the guiding hand of the "post-left".
The comment even contained his real name. It surprised me but I guess fans of the podcast have no respect for him anymore. I edited it out because I didn't want a struggle sesh.
